Patterns

It’s so disturbing to hear some men and women who are in relationships complaining that their relationship is “work.” I sit here and think to myself, work? Most would agree that relationships shouldn’t feel like another job or added pressure, yet so many people in relationships often will complain theirs is like having another job. Ultimately we shouldn’t feel this way, and the majority of the time relationships should be pleasurable and exciting. However most relationships usually launch in a positive direction but as the days and months go by, often the relationship turns into a “routine,” as if it’s a scheduled appointment, and a pattern of calling and seeing one another will be created. When the lack of thrill and excitement slowly fades, does this lead many of our brains, and eyes to drift and shift towards others? Is this the ultimate reason why some, cheat?

Many men and women often say their relationship has become stale. The problem that I’ve seen with many couples, friends, and people dating today is that they become unaware that they’ve formed a pattern. Is keeping relationships fresh without allowing them to fall into routines and patterns that tricky?
